2008 Festival Facts
Adelaide Bank Festival of Arts started in 1960. The Adelaide bank Festival of Arts in 2008 will be the 25th.
The 2008 Festival includes 80 events and more than 280 performances.
The program which has a renewed emphasis on the visual arts and outdoor activities, includes 27 events that are free to the public.
Two thirds of Festival events come from overseas or are international/Australian collaborations.
More than 855 artists and performers will participate in the 2008 Festival, including 277 from overseas and 232 from interstate.

2006 Festival Facts
The 2006 Festival is estimated to have produced a total net economic benefit of $13.1 million in terms of income (Gross State Product) and 190 FTEs equivalents of employment.

) for the event indicated overwhelming support:
- 97% of Festival patrons surveyed indicated that they were pre-disposed to attending the Festival in the future
- 82% of visitors indicated that they were likely to return to the State as a result of their attendance at this year’s Festival
- 98% of Festival patrons agreed that the Adelaide Bank Festival of Arts was important in the profiling and promotion of the city or state.
The 2006 Festival attracted 546,000 for ticketed and free events
The 2006 Festival generated in excess of 1,630 media segments (approximately 26% of which were in interstate, national and international media and internet outlets)
The box office for the 2006 Festival-produced events increased by approximately 20% on 2004 and 123% on 2002.
